The IEEE Region 6 Outstanding Service & Leadership Award recognizes an IEEE member residing within Region 6 who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, sustained voluntary service, and outstanding dedication to the advancement of IEEE’s mission. This award honors individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted their Section, Chapter, Region, or the broader engineering and technological community.The IEEE Region 6 Outstanding Service & Leadership Award recognizes an IEEE member residing within Region 6 who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, sustained voluntary service, and outstanding dedication to the advancement of IEEE’s mission. This award honors individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted their Section, Chapter, Region, or the broader engineering and technological community.
Eligibility
- Must be an IEEE member in good standing located within IEEE Region 6 at the time of nomination.
- Must have demonstrated significant voluntary service and leadership within IEEE Region 6 activities, Sections, Chapters, or Society activities.
- Current members of the IEEE Region 6 Awards Committee are ineligible for nomination during their term of service.
Judging
Nominations are evaluated by the IEEE Region 6 Awards Committee based on the following criteria:
- Leadership & Impact: Quality and significance of leadership demonstrated in organizing IEEE activities, conferences, committees, or community outreach programs.
- Sustained Service: History and depth of voluntary contribution to IEEE over an extended period.
- Innovation & Initiative: Creation or execution of new initiatives, programs, or operational improvements that enhanced member value and participation.
- Endorsements: Strength of supporting references and documentation provided in the nomination package.
Deadline
Nov 20, 2026 (or as otherwise announced) by 11:59 pm Pacific time, including endorsements.
