IEEE Region 6 Member Outreach is committed to strengthening engagement, inclusion, and professional growth across the Western United States. Through coordinated efforts with Sections, Chapters, Affinity Groups, and Student Branches, Region 6 fosters meaningful connections among members in industry, academia, and government. Outreach initiatives include mentoring programs, career development events, industry partnerships, technical workshops, and support for Young Professionals and Life Members. By actively listening to member needs and expanding access to resources, leadership opportunities, and networking platforms, Region 6 ensures that every member feels valued, supported, and empowered to contribute to technological innovation and community impact.

IEEE Region 6 SusTech (Sustainable Technologies) is a flagship initiative focused on advancing technologies that promote environmental sustainability, resilience, and responsible innovation.

IEEE Region 6 Humanitarian Activities Committee supports humanitarian activities led by the IEEE Humanitarian Technology Board (HTB) Chaired by Grayson Randell.

IEEE Region 6 Women in Engineering (WIE) is a vibrant community dedicated to promoting the inclusion, advancement, and empowerment of women in engineering and technology across the western United States.

IEEE Young Professionals is the group of IEEE members and volunteers who have graduated from their first professional degree within the past 15 years.

IEEE Region 6 Life Members are a distinguished group of long-standing professionals who have made significant contributions to the engineering and technology community.
