Overview

Region 6 coordinates Education Activities with IEEE Educational Activities Board. IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) supports the lifelong learning of engineers and technology professionals as well as Pre-University students.

Try Engineering

IEEE Try Engineering logo.Try Engineering offers a variety of resources that will advance the skill and knowledge of educators who intend to bring engineering education into their classrooms and to engage and excite students about engineering and technology careers. There are over 200 lesson plans as well.

TryEngineering.org connects educators to more than 130 free hands-on, low-cost, engineering lesson plans. Each lesson plan targets specific age ranges and aligns with education standards to allow teachers and students to apply engineering principles in the classroom. Educators have access to all of the resources they need to teach engineering and the tips and tricks to keep their students engaged.

Try Nano

TryNano.org logo.TryNano is a resource for anyone interested in learning about Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Includes an overview of the field of nanotechnology, educational resources, nano expert profiles and a database of degree programs.

IEEE Reach

IEEE REACH logo.IEEE Reach provides teachers and students with educational resources that explore the relationship between technology and engineering history and the complex relationships they have with society, politics, economics, and culture. Resources include: Inquiry Units based on the “C3 Framework”, primary and secondary sources, hands-on-activities, multimedia sources (video and audio), background information for teachers, and additional resources.
