Region 6 OpCom Meetings

OpCom (Operating Committee) Meetings are the largest annual gatherings in Region 6, bringing together Section leaders, Area Chairs, and Executive Committee members. These meetings focus on:

  • Strategic planning
  • Volunteer leadership and IEEE tools training
  • Networking and collaboration

Region 6 ExCom Meetings

ExCom (Executive Committee) Meetings are held twice a year for Region 6 operations, finances, and strategic initiatives. These meetings typically include:

  • Budget reviews
  • Program updates
  • Planning for conferences and leadership development

Region 6 Area Meetings

Region 6 is divided into five Areas: Northwest, Northeast, Central, Southwest, and Southern. Each Area hosts meetings to coordinate activities across Sections and support local academia and professional activities. Joint Area meetings are organized starting in 2025 to optimize volunteer time and increase interactions of Sections across multiple Sections.
