Student Activities Committee

The R6 RSAC is the IEEE Region 6 Regional Student Activities Committee. The Regional Student Activities Committee in IEEE Region 6 (Western US) is responsible for overseeing student programs, benefits, volunteers, and support in the region.

IEEE Region 6 works closely with the IEEE Student Activities Committee (SAC) to strengthen student engagement, leadership development, and the overall student experience across the Western United States. The Region’s Student Activities Coordinator (RSAC) leads the strategic direction of student programs, supports Section‑level initiatives, and ensures alignment with global SAC priorities. Complementing this role, the Region Student Representative (RSR) serves as the student voice for Region 6—advocating for student needs, coordinating peer‑to‑peer initiatives, and fostering collaboration among more than 60 student branches. Together, the RSAC and RSR form the core of Region 6’s student leadership structure, connecting students, Sections, universities, and IEEE governance to build a vibrant and sustainable student pipeline.
