Outstanding Corporate Service

The Outstanding Corporate Service Award recognizes companies or corporate divisions that actively encourage and sustain IEEE volunteerism within their workforce and local technology ecosystems. By supporting employee participation in IEEE leadership, technical activities, conferences, and community outreach, recipient organizations demonstrate exceptional corporate citizenship and leadership in advancing technology for humanity.

This award honours corporate entities operating within IEEE Region 6 that create an environment facilitating IEEE volunteer responsibilities and professional development. Eligible nominees include small to large corporations, local subsidiaries, or specialized business units.

Evaluators assess nominations based on tangible evidence of support for IEEE activities across eight core categories: Assessment Criterion Compliance

• Provides paid time off or flexible scheduling to attend local, regional, or international IEEE meetings and conferences.
• Offers full or partial reimbursement for travel, registration, and per diem expenses associated with IEEE volunteer leadership roles.
• Offers company facilities, meeting rooms, or virtual hosting platforms to conduct IEEE Section, Chapter, or Committee meetings.
• Actively encourages, recognizes, and promotes employee membership and leadership roles in professional technical organizations.
• Underwrites all or a portion of IEEE annual membership dues or technical society subscriptions for employees.
• Permits free or discounted use of internal company resources (e.g., printing, teleconferencing, logistics, marketing) for IEEE administrative activities.
• Donates grants, sponsorships, or financial gifts directly to local Chapters, Councils, Affinity Groups, or STEM initiatives to support conferences, workshops, and student competitions.
• Demonstrates a sustained culture of community engagement and technical leadership alignment with IEEE values.
