Description
The goal of this award is to recognize an individual IEEE member who actively recruits more IEEE members, elevates senior members and promotes IEEE membership development. Events such as organizing special events, forming and incentivizing activities geared towards attracting new IEEE members, the renewal of the membership of existing IEEE members and benefiting our IEEE members.
IEEE Membership: Nominees must be active IEEE Members in good standing residing within IEEE Region 6.
Scope of Activity & Focus: Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional results and sustained effort in at least one of the following areas:
- Membership Growth & Retention: Driving local or regional recruitment campaigns, active student-to-higher-grade transition initiatives, or member retention programs.
- Senior Member Elevation: Actively identifying eligible Senior Member candidates, organizing elevation workshops/clinics, guiding applicants, or securing references for successful IEEE Senior Member upgrades.
- Measurable Outcomes & Growth Impact: Tangible metrics demonstrating success—such as percentage growth in local membership, number of Senior Member elevations facilitated, or retention rate improvements directly attributed to the nominee’s efforts.
- Program Innovation & Execution: Creativity and effectiveness of organized workshops, elevation clinics, outreach events, or recruitment drives.
- Sustained Leadership & Service Length and depth of the nominee’s involvement in Section, Chapter, or Regional Membership Development / Senior Member Elevation committees.
- Endorsement Quality: Strength of the two supporting recommendation letters and testimony from elevated members or Section leadership.
